the Rescue Runner build thread

Hey! I see you're in search and rescue. I'm in King County SAR. Are you Pierce County?

(If you're in Washington that is...)

I'm not, I'm Clark County SO. I have spent the last 3 weeks up in Thurston county working. I wish we had a program like what you guys have with your 4x4 teams... I have been trying to push that down here. I'm jelly of you guys and kinda wish I lived up there just for your SAR group lol.

I have not run the RF cubes, but the IPFs will blow the PIAAs away you have. IMO IPF and PIAA are neck n neck with quality, PIAA just has a larger selection.

Well that's good to hear, I've never ran IPF's before and was wondering how the beam and pattern were. I have those IPF's plus another set of PIAA 520i Fogs in the garage (I'm a sucker for good deals) plus my PIAA's on the truck with a cheap 22" LED bar. Once maintenance is squared away I'd like to get a set of the ditch light brackets and put the new PIAA RF cubes on the ditch brackets, then do the IPf/PIAA combo on the front like you did.

Thanks for replying man.
A buddy of mine put the cubes behind the grill of his mustang and I have to say I'm impressed.

Just bought another ARB twin compressor for the runner. The first one I had I put in the Lexus and was so spoiled by it that I can't be without it anymore. I found a good deal on a brand new one and bit the bullet. I also picked up some cheapy push button/sticky LED lights for the rear hatch when it's open to provide light. They seam to work good only issue I see is if something in the back(dog or cargo) presses against them they will come on and be on. But they just take 3 AAA batteries, so it's not the end of the world.

^nice defender, someone you know own it? ...yours?
Nope not mine, I have seen it around a couple of times but its always been on the road. I had just washed my rig and was running a few errands and saw it parked so I snagged a quick photo or two and checked it out. It's a sweet rig.

Did you see where habanero out get compressor? I don't know if it'll fit but it is inside.

Cool, i have a small bender if you want to build a small shield for it, swing on by.
I am still debating about hard mounting mine. It seems to spend a lot of time being moved around..
