The thing about tires are they are inherently round. Or at least they should be... I have had at least 4 of my bighorns that are out of round now... I say at least 4, because I can not yet tell if its my new spare that is out of round or it still one of the others...

You will have to give me your honest opinion after 1000 miles or so. My Toyo MT's are half gone and heavy as hell. Although the MTR's are heavy too. Love the look of them though!

well for a 285 70 17 tire, the goodyear is 58lbs and the toyo is 71lbs
and a 35 12.5 17 is 64lbs for the goodyear and 83lbs for the toyo
a 305 70 16 is 62lbs for the goodyear and 72lbs for the toyo....

much lighter if you ask me

Well you should tell them they need to return text and messages.... I asked them about his MTRs and never got any response. What does he hate about them?

They have worn out really fast. Granted he drives it daily and doesn't do much wheeling but it just seems like he just got them and he is already looking at getting new tires. I'll yell at him today to text you back.

I have no experience with the new ones however the old style I had a couple pairs and those wore really fast for the first 30-40% then like iron after that. One set I got a good 50,000 out of.
Wonder if it's the same story with the new ones?

Got the MTRs on this afternoon, man so much nicer. Now I can feel everything else that's been shaken lose by the octagon tires I had. I definitely need a new alignment, the old tires shook so bad its out.

just bit the bullet and purchased a set of LR UCAs. i went with them for a couple of reasons, they are a sealed easily changeable UBJ, as well as adjustable for both camber and caster. i have noticed that the top of my tires are tilted out a little -too much positive camber. also im pretty sure my current UBJs are the original ones on the truck. the boots are all ripped and there is no grease in them anymore lol its been like that for a year or so now, its been more than time to replace them. but they still have no slop in them.

i think there are just a little bit more than the LRs but have better reviews in my opinion. Ive heard something about the LRs having play in the ball joint over time. Then i remember reading they fixed the issues with a revised version of the ball joint. idk if you read or looked into that but figured id bring it up and let you know!

I havent bought a new set of UCAs yet but i also keep looking at them to fix my camber and get better life/looks out of the tire stance.

no love for the uniball design... its over rated and quie frankly a waste IMO, ints only good for racing or dry climates. an open uniball like that would die fast here in the PNW, dirt, road spray, mosture, mud ect getting in that ball and just eating it alive. not to mention they are not easily service if at all. for less than $65 i can have a new upper ball joint for the LR arms and again they are adjustable where the uniballs are not. travel is a mute issue as i run sway bars and the strut will limit my travel long before the ball joint would in either of them. people only like the AllPro or TC or Camburgs for the name, and the look. i makes them feel like a true race truck, but the fact remains that they offer nothing over the LR arms and in fact are not as versatile. so no, im not gonna spend $500+ when i can spend less than $400 and have a better product.

if i had a race truck, and had sponsors backing me and paying for maintenance and covering cost of parts ect bla bla bla then i might look at them, but i dont race my truck, no one here races their truck, its needless and just a status thing

mm for sure, do they still make the uni ball covers for the camburgs? i think i remember seeing the icons with a uni ball upper cover to help for the daily drivers, but then again icons are stupid expensive..

did you ever read or see that post i mentioned about users with the LRs talking about ball joint play in the older design? but a new revised ball joint came out to fix it?

thinking about it now, something about the bushings or something?
