The start of my 4Runner Transformation

My 2003 V8 limited will be starting it's transformation this weekend!!
I will be installing my new Sway-Away 2.5 coil over kit this weekend. My Local 4x shop, Independent4X here in VA is a pretty large SA dealer and I have had nothing but great experiences with these guys with all my projects. I can not say enough about them.

Now to the eye candy!

It was all I could do to not start installing stuff tonight... But I need the 4runner to get to work tomorrow... So it will have to wait until Saturday AM... Early!! LOL

Tires showed up today!! I just ordered them yesterday AM!!
Goodyear Duratrac 285/70/17 Sorry for the crappy pic I was too excited to go in and get the camera...

I'm pushing $3500 with the tires, 285 goodyear duratracs from tirerack. I'm doing all the install work myself including mounting the tires. I still need to buy wheel spacers and get the front end aligned.

Coming from the Rover background so I do not get sticker shock that easy. LOL

Also willing to pay for quality products. I try to do it right the first time, within reason of course!!

Well the install went great. A friend form my club came by and proved his worth!! Thanks Herb!! Even had my son in the shop. He was excited too!
Here the work begins!!

No wheel spacers yet.

Looks SICK!!!! Have you checked out how much rubbing you got with those big meats! I so want those tires but unlike you I am sticker shocked by the price. That and my wifey giving me the ol stink eye when talk about wanting to do a life and tires like yours! I also have been eyeing those Duratrac's!!

I have done some slight trimming to the front mud flaps and splash guards, Nothing major. I plan to flex it today and see if there is any more to be done. But right now it drives fine on the road with no wheel spacers.
