I want to run this manifold for a few more months before we think about production. I'd rather know they are solid than sell some and have a unforeseen issue down the road

But really, I expected SAS by now...
Gonna let this motor live the rest of its life before i step up the boost. Toying with the idea of a 2J swap once this motor goes.
SAS is coming. Need to save for the axle though

You know I can test one out for ya.... Hahaha. I've been looking at a 2j swap for a while also. Not to hard really. Besides the wiring and beating the firewall if you keep the twins.

Been slacking on this lately. Its been a busy past few weeks.
First off, i had 2 events in Moab to attend in 2 weeks so i had to get some stuff finished up on the Lobster.
The top priority was it needed a front bumper since i decided to sell the ODL
So i bought some plate and tube and threw one together in 2 days
Made it to Moab to wheel with a bunch of Nissans
I added some camouflage to help the Lobster blend in
Some badass Nissans there
This Nissan was the coolest one IMHO
First off, i had 2 events in Moab to attend in 2 weeks so i had to get some stuff finished up on the Lobster.
The top priority was it needed a front bumper since i decided to sell the ODL
So i bought some plate and tube and threw one together in 2 days
Made it to Moab to wheel with a bunch of Nissans

After GoneMoab, It was back to Colorado for a few days to prep for Rock Therapy.
The main thing i wanted to work on was to lower the under hood temps. I never had a issue while wheeling but cooler is better.
I've had a sport hood sitting in my garage for awhile and decided that would help with lowering temps since i was going to leave the scoop open. I was also thinking of blacking out my stock hood to reduce glare from the sun and my roof mounted light bar. Since the sport hood needed paint, i just did that in Satin black and added a little extra paint work
Headed back out to Moab with Kevin from Toytec
Went and wheeled Dome Plateau with the group
Saw a U4 buggy driving down Main st. I love Moab
Took another group photo
Did Top of the world again
This seemed like a good idea

Any updates? This is my favorite build. I Wish i hadn't had to leave early for Rock Therapy, Was really looking forward to wheeling with you! I was initially there the whole week but a family emergency arose and I left in the middle of the night!

I guess that means you just need to be a Rock Therapy next year!
Not much is new with the Lobster. I've been driving my car mostly just for the MPG so the Lobster isn't getting much love. Turbo setup is still working great.
Right now, i've got plans to clean up a bunch of the wiring and really just wheel it.

Maybe. Something is squeaking up front. Probably the steering rack again or a tie rod. I feel like SASing it would be a better use of my time rather than trying to find the squeak.

I had a very annoying squeak and it ended up being the steering rack. $485 picked up from Grand Junction, or $10,000 for SAS...

I don't know about you guys but i'm thinking $10,000 might be the better deal
Especially if it ends up with a 1 ton setup on 40's :trophy:
