Man we need an Oklahoma member thread. I thought we did but I can find it (I'm on my iPhone), non of it looks rougher than all the colorado trails, but I've never done it. I'm more worried about the over growth of trees.

Hell if there's a part that's too tough I'll bring my chain saw and we can "clean up" the trail.

I'll bring a saw or three and am all in! I have an FJ buddy I could probably bring too.

Great thread, thanks for the suggestion to read through....I have twins as well, mine will be 6 in May next year. Its rough ride, but wouldn't trade them for the world.
My truck is only a week old and the tires are already killing me....lots of plans.

CNG Tahoe

Thought some of you needy engineer guys would think this is cool. I bought a CNG bi-fuel Tahoe this week. It's a 2wd commuter vehicle for me. Pretty neat I pay about $1.69 per gal eqivilant holds 9.2 gals of CNG in 2 small tanks in the spare tire area in addition to the normal 26 gal gas tank. It holds it at 3600 psi and I get about 150 miles on a CNG fill. Once down in pressure it switches over seamlessly without any driver interaction.

Certain drops in the pavement result in what sounds like the shock over extending or a slight thud, not a big deal or too annoying but it’s there.

Do you still have this problem? I put an Icon Stage 1 on and over some drops in the road I get a metallic clang coming from the rear driver's side that no one has been able to remedy. I've got a bike innertube ready to stuff in the KDSS or brake line metal bracket to ensure it's not the line banging around but other than that, no one can figure out what it could be.

Edit: Also, I've been checking out your site as I just got a D5100 given to me so I'm trying to learn how to take a decent pic, good info you've got. Anything else you can recommend to speed up the learning curve?

Clank gone, feel like it had to settle in a bit. Retorque everything?

Cameras...where to start...try only using the Aperture and Time modes on your camera. Pick the ISO about 400 or 800 and learn the inverse of the functions. IE: when adjusting aperture down what happens with the shutter speed? They are opposite functions. Don't use the green box or program mode unless needing for sure shots of your kiddos(if you have them). Stick with .jpeg to start.

1st: Learn about ISO
2nd: Aperture
3rd: shutter speed

Shoot with what you got and don't spend a lot on gear until you have 10k shots. Get and use/learn Adobe Lightroom, skip photoshop the first few years. Lots of how to's on YouTube. And practice a lot...

I got Llumar non-metallic charcoal tint. Its 15% in the front and 30% in the rear over the factory baked privacy glass. It almost matches with the rear being a slight bit darker than the front.

Love the look of that tint!!!:flame:

Been 4 years since I had my 4Runner, thanks! Having a second set of twins ruined the 4Runner dream for me.

I’m on to building LS swapped vehicles now.
