We camped a few nights in Rocky Mountain National Park and Molas Lake outside Silverton, CO

We even tried our hand at some gold prospecting and found the tiniest of tiny shiny stuff

Kid had a great time, endured the drive better than daddy and even almost caught dinner one day.

We met this guy and his not at all amused girlfriend in the Great Sand Dunes. They had 1/2 a six-pack of beer, 20" tires and 2 WD. What could go wrong?

It was fun being away from rocks and near death drop offs to use the skinny pedal more than the fat.

Zero issues with the truck other than a broken wiper blade (2nd. pic in post 357) and a small chip on the windshield. But anybody saying they don't miss the V8 has never had the humiliation of being passed by a Dodge towing 3 ATVs while cursing yet another 10K+ FT mountain climb.

As great the trip was this was the most welcome sign of all, even though I still had another 6 hours to drive
