Alex (thanks buddy!) kindly paying it forward with a much needed RCI Bumper Filler Plate. We both got tired of waiting on Bud.

After meeting the guys from Ironman4x4 last year I decided on their Awning IAWNING001L (6.5' Long x 8' Wide) over the equally good ARB because it has LED Lights and the cover was black. Only thing missing is a Disco Ball and Stripper Pole. Stay tuned!

This space was reserved to completely destroy GOBI for the frustration caused by their lack of response when I tried to buy their Awning Mount. Then out of the blue Sandra called…..apologized…..and then sent me the mounts for free! Nothing to say but THANKS and all is forgiven. Worth every penny even if you need to pay for it.

I think you need one master control switch to control all the switches. It could be voice controlled, better yet- mind controlled. Think of the possibilities here! This should keep you up at night for 3 more years, haha!

You definitely made up for lost time pal. Awesome stuff.

BTW- She looks so proud of herself in that pic!

PS- Truth be told, the phone cord thing is a gonner ( :flame: ). I went with a more traditional setup just haven't posted it up yet.

If this does not deserve 4runner of the year, than I don't know what does. Pure awesomeness. Remember how you mention that your were hoping not to get as many mentions on my divorce papers, it might happen if I keep on coming back and looking at your build, LOL. Your build is amazing and every modification you do, make sense and need for.

Wow simply awesome build! I currently have an 05 sport but i am looking to sell it for a 5th gen!

I would love to see this thing, did I mention I live right down the street from lake Nockamixon? haha

My fiance and I always go there with the dogs for hiking (6 month old german shepherd and a 9 yr old english lab)

Had to replace my winch rope after stupidly breaking it pulling down some tall trees that got hung up on other trees on their way to the ground. So, thought I would post some Zeon fitment pictures as reference that some have asked for before. The old rope was mangled & knotted beyond belief and had to be cut out into multiple pieces. I can’t tell you how over I am again removing the damn bumper.

My awning zippers annoyingly clanged against the truck so following Okki’s brilliant suggestion I wrapped them with electrical shrink tubing. Worked great and I proudly admired my work until I discovered that if I just move the zippers from the back to the front they don’t touch the truck at all. :frusty:

Blue Sea 12V Power Port to the Aux Battery in the engine bay mostly to be used for the awning lights. Other than the refrigerator power this is the only always hot port on the truck.

thanks for posting these. good to know you didn't/don't need the solenoid relocation kit for the Zeon series mounted on the BudBuilt hidden plate.

What a hoot. Gotta love the duh moments. Course on the bright side now you don't have to worry where you leave the zipper pull (on the awning) and you learned something new.

I've never used synthetic winch line so could you share what caused it to break and why it was knotted up? I've certainly inadvertently kinked wire rope winding it back in and am guessing that the more flexible synthetic could more easily kink, but just have no experience with it.
