Them Be Me Mods

The slow but sure transformation begins......Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265/70R17 (E) on TE Rims. Running them at 40 PSI to see how they do.

OH CRAPOLA! Sweet rims man! Yea, the Duratracs look good too!... Great looking set-up you got there. Get crackin' on that lift now!
How does she ride now? I've heard the tires are fairly quiet for such an aggressive tread. Did you get the matching spare?

BTW, notice how I didnt quote your pics... :wink2:

As anybody with a dog can testify, getting the hair out of the back carpeting is a real PIA. Having a yellow lab and black interior does not help. I just installed a set of Canvasback Canvas Custom Cargo Liners. Price was $ 159 and so far so good. The Velcro is very strong but time will tell how well it holds up.

Awesome runner man. Been lurking on here for months, doing my due dilligence before I buy a 4runner. Where'd you buy yours? I am down in the Doylestown area.

Just down the road from me! Howdy! Sent you a PM with my my guys name. Bought a 06 Limited from him back then and worked with him again this time. You know, they are all thieves but at least he robs you with a smile :lmao:

I think I am confused about your antenna.....Where is the coax cable connected?

Can't see that in the pics. Is there a connector on the other end I can't see? Because the fold over piece doesn't appear to have a connector, or am I wrong here. Thx!

Ya think that's why my reception is so bad? J/K Its there - We put a ring connector on the antenna end. Attached under the mount.

Meet Me Mutt

I sort of thought I wanted to do the Trail convert even before buying the Limited. I knew for sure after owning it for one week and burying the silly front skirts into a pile of snow at the end of my driveway that I should have been able to plow through with a minivan.

Again, nothing really new here that has not been done before. Gary's (Harper) parts list was dead on and saved hours of research. I owe you more than a few beers, partner. Total parts cost about $2K. I'm lucky in having a friend who works at a body shop to buy all at their cost. He also painted / clear coated the parts so my total cost was very minimal. To confirm the parts list I did have a local body shop work up a estimate and they come up with $ 5.5K. Yikes!

I'm very happy that I decided to have the parts painted to match the truck instead of leaving them flat black as I think it retains the Limited's elegance.

The quality of BudBuild's Sliders, Skid Plates and Winch Plate are absolutely perfect. Took a few calls to him to get it all installed in the right order but he was very helpful. The SS Diff Plate is on its way.

Decided on the Warn M8000-S Winch and they are sending a Black Fairland which I think will blend nicely. Rope and wiring still need to be done. I also got the wireless remote which should make life more better if I ever need to use it.

Of course new cup holders needed to be installed but the process was way less dramatic the second time around.

I like those bump out sliders, did you go beefy? how does it look from the front? do they stick out like a wing? lol

Great job.

Wow! Very nicely done with well thought-out mods. IMO, Yours is very quickly becoming one of the nicer trucks on the forum!

Not beefy as I thought they would be overkill. I'll try to get other pics up for you but they dont at all stick out too far, they are perfect to my eyes.

Just the forum? LOL

Seriously, thanks. I'm trying to make it my own, while adding capabilities, making it more functional, yet looking as stock as possible.

If Toyota is looking to add a 4th 4runner style, they should definitely look to you and Gary. Maybe they can call it the LTE (Limited Trail Edition). Looks ridiculous man...in a good way...a very very good way!

Right. Add E Lockers and it would have been the model I would have bought! But they should still call it a Mutt.

Any joy with Stubby?

Dude, the stubby is great.
Works really well in my area. Some static under bypasses/tunnels, but that is to be expected and not a problem. Thanks again for the "hookup".
Your rig is looking great btw.
