Thermistor cooler location verification

I've come here to confirm the location of the thermistor for the ac system. Most threads I've found are for fourth gens and I'm hoping someone has replaced one more recently for the third gen.

Is it located behind the glove box and to the left like the fourth gen? It sounds like the sensor is in a carrier that needs to be turned counterclockwise to remove.

Verification for this, and/or advice is appreciated.

On the Limited, there are three thermistors:
1. inside the evaporator box and clipped to the fins of the evaporator
2. behind the driver's knee panel
3. behind the front bumper LH side

Then there is the solar sensor on the dashboard LH side and the heater temp sensor on the lower part of the heater RH side

Thanks for the info.

I'm going for the thermistor in the evaporator box. My ac gets pretty cold but I have to have it on the coldest setting to feel the best, and it seems like the compressor doesn't stay engaged long enough. It switches from pretty cold to humid air frequently. From what I've read the thermistor in the evap box has been known to be a failure point and can cause this issue/symptoms. It's a cheap part so I thought I would just replace it.

Today I'm also changing out my digital climate controls with a refurbished unit which is long overdue. If none of this helps I'll have my ac system checked but the oil level in the sight glass doesn't look aerated when the compressor is engaged.

Well I got it replaced and luckily it wasn't as bad as I thought. I took pictures and will do a separate writeup with the tools that help in the process.
