It absolutely does work in reverse. Tested in my 2016 TE.

something i noticed, but having trouble pinpointing which trims and years this applies to. these 2 pics r from toyota's website. i have circled the different versions of the clock display setup. one has some of the temp/etc displayed here while others have just the clock with the other info displayed in the gauge cluster. my owners manual does not reference anything about 2 different upper display types.

1st pic: LTD with clock only
2nd pic: TRD (guessing because of the shift knob, soft-tex, and what appears to be a hint of inferno body color on the door/sideview mirror)

my research:
buddy has 2015 Trail = clock only
i have a 2015 Trail Premium = clock only
coworker has 2015 or 2016 (not sure) SR5 Premium = clock only
apparent LTD = clock only (based on this pic)
apparent TRD = multi-display - clock, temp, compass, etc. (based on this pic)

so is this a TRD only display? can anyone with a TRD confirm this? anyone with a non-TRD that has the additional info in the upper display?

My guess was that they Photoshopped the digital clock in, but didn't realize it had changed. Usually the LCD screen image and things of that nature are added afterwards since they don't really photograph well. They probably had the "old" image lying around and added it by mistake.

I found out that my 2003 doesn't do most of these things.

The door cup holders serve as a perfect platform for my el cheapo change holder mod. Get standard grade cheapo gym water bottle; chop off top; place in cup holder (perfect fit); empty pockets and add change at your leisure. Removable! Can plastidip if you like (graphite black or sand beige).

If you don't chop it and leave the lid on it will help muffle the noise of the change bouncing around :music:

I have a 2013 SR5 Premium and it has Clock/Compass/Range to E or Avg MPG

Have her look at the console lid, there is something next to the tissue holder that can be useful.

If your windows are going up using the auto-up feature, and you hit a large enough bump, the windows go back down. Found that out in a rain storm the other day.

I'm assuming that its a resistance-sensory feature to prevent mashed fingers.

Not so much mashed fingers, as strangled kids. There have been a few cases of small children dying that way.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago in the "What did you do..." thread but seems more appropriate here. I did not know this hidden compartment was included with the slide-out tray. It is well hidden and not likely to be discovered by the average perp, so maybe good for valuables if left parked somewhere?

Well you should have known about the groceries and cup holder...didn't you test drive?:lookout::shrug:



As for the puddle...you would never know...I lived in Fremont for 3 years until last summer. Not much of this happening:rain:
