I found out the if the door opens while moving, the 4r will start beeping.
If the passenger side seat belt is left fastened all the time (through a few start/off cycles), the airbag will stay off no matter how heavy of an object you put on the seat. It resets if unfasten and fasten back in, then takes a couple start/off cycles for it to stay deactivated.

I've been wondering, that's the recessed blank in the overhead console (bottom left corner of the picture) used for. I don't recall every seeing a pic where it has something in it. Are there any trim lines/features/options where Toyota actually puts something in that spot?

Had my stupid moment this week. To turn the A/C off with the center stack switch make sure the temp knob is not set to 'Max'. :doh:

Emergency Assistance Button (“SOS”)
In the event of an emergency on the road, push the “SOS” button to reach the Safety Connect response center. The answering agent will determine your vehicle’s location, assess the emergency, and dispatch the necessary assistance required.

Went to dealership, had them program the smart key to auto roll down windows. Took all of 5 minutes.
Sadly I don't have a party button, or SOS, or a lot of other options. I have 6 blank spots I may use 2 for a nice aftermarket TPMS system I saw.
Also saw this going through the manual.

Washing my 2016 Trail for the first time I noticed the windshield heating elements beneath the wiper blades. What a great idea!

If you have the OEM carpeted cargo mat you can flip it over and now you have a no-slip rubber cargo mat. It's not perfect, but it will keep your stuff from sliding all over the place and it's easier to clean than the carpet. I still do this even though I have Canvas Back cargo liners because they're so slippery.
If you have a third row, then you can fit/hide a small amount of stuff between the folded third row and the 2nd row. Pull forward the passenger side second row and stuff your junk behind it. Currently that's where I keep my ratchet straps, but I've also kept a big extension cord, tarp, and some tools in there. It's padded and carpeted so there wasn't any rattling or sliding around.

Learned three things this week when I had to change a tire on mine for the first time.
1. The jack has to be extended to pretty much full before you can get the tire off (don't be worried.. that thing will continue to rise even when you think it's topped out (giggity)). The travel of the suspension is both impressive and annoying at the same time.
2. That small hole in your rear bumper is where the factory tool thingie you have to assemble inserts to catch the crank point which lowers the spare.
3. It would SUCK to have to use the factory jack in an off-road situation.

Yeah years ago I figured out 1 & 3 on the side of a freeway. With a lift and 33's jacks don't cut it, so I have always kept a couple of blocks in my vehicles ever since. They've come in handy more than once.

its literally just a piece of Styrofoam and some sound deadening. It takes up so much space and would have been nice to have it flat so we could store something underneath it
