I just discovered on my 2016 TP:

The Sunroof has an auto switch that automatically opens it to the full open position. Right?

---But Wait---

After the sunroof has stopped auto opening, manually press the switch -as to open it further- and you'll get another inch or two out of it.

What about with the parking lights?

That's the one interior bulb I haven't changed yet...fortunately it only annoys me when the lights are on.

I think that it is also on with the parking lights. I only think this because I turn on only my parking lights (which the daytime lights come on also) when driving in my parking garage. But that is when I noticed the glove box has a light in it because my wife opened it up to put something in it.

DRLs don't trigger it, but the parking lamps and headlights do. I just confirmed this in mine.

Washing my 2016 Trail for the first time I noticed the windshield heating elements beneath the wiper blades. What a great idea!

It also runs vertically up the drivers side of the windshield to prevent ice build up when it is swept off the windshield. I verified it with an IR thermometer.

Yeah but evidently you can't turn off that dumb eco bar, unless you slip over into sequential mode.

As does the sunroof on my wife's 2017 Outback. Identical, as are may other [mostly electrical] components.

I disabled the eco bar with the carista app and carista odbc connector.. Costs 9.99 for a week or 39.99 I think for a year to change configurations.

It can be deactivated with the Techstream software. Mine is.

I drive with my headrests down in the rear. I also have the windows open a lot and no joke, the wind at 50+mph will usually blow the head rests back up. :mad2:

On my 2014 LE, the intermittent wiper graphic is opposite of most other cars. The "wide part" of intermittent (dial rotated all the way up) produces the shortest interval between wipes, while showing the widest part of the "intermittent graphic".

In all the others cars I can remember, it was opposite.

As mentioned earlier, the cruise control is not the nice, modern incarnation I've come to like on our Forester that will brake on hills and properly maintain speed on a steep grade. I have found that you can slap the stick over to S and it will pick 4th gear and hold speed on climbs much better and will overshoot far less past the crest. On most descents on-road, it seems that 4th can maintain speed, but 3rd is overkill though sometimes necessary. While going into S4 won't kill the cruise, going down to 3rd will. And yes, after driving nothing but manual cars for the past 12 years, I hate using the brakes on hills...not to mention that you'll cook your brakes descending passes out here if you don't downshift.

I tried 3 times to reorient the picture! Every time it was sideways. Hopefully the snowflake will draw enough attention.

I suppose if it was cold and icy your truck could roll to the right, or left for that matter. Better pay attention to the snowflake warning!!
