Just started to rain down here, noticed the rear wiper only makes 1/2 sweeps when on intermittent.

Others have mentioned the wiper not working when the rear window is down, but if you are using the wiper and you press the window down button, the wiper will travel to home, then the window will lower. Raise the window back up and the wiper turns back on. :lookout:

Noticed over the weekend that the dimmer for the instrument cluster clicks past what I thought was the maximum setting. This turns the cluster and radio/nav to full daytime brightness, even with the headlights on. Enjoy.

I have maxed mine out at the limited 118mph, quite easily in fact. ('16 SR5 with TRD wheels and 265 KO2s)

How could yours not go 90?

The timing between "half" strokes is also adjustable in the Customisable Settings that that dealer can tweak. IIRC its 3 sec (default), 5 sec, and 7 sec. Set mine to the max because if its on intermittent the window doesn't get enough spray to justify a 3 sec delay and I rarely need constant on operation.

How could yours not go 90?

I believe the KO2s are S rated which is 112mph max.

I've noticed now that it's cold here in Utah that when I get in the truck and start it. The heater and fan doesn't automatically blow even if the knobs are already on. If I move the knobs the fan turns on. Does the fan come on automatically once the vehicle is warmed up? I never have the patience to wait.

I agree. This is my first SUV with a rear wiper - I always just thought that's how little the range of motion was!

While rushing to the airport today, I found another way to make the ECO green logo disappear, along with the Eco Bar going away too... Once you get up to 90 miles/hour, both the Eco light and the bar will go away - until you drop below 88 miles/hour.

The eco light can be turned off in the display settings, I guess if you find it distracting.

I learned that with my 2 in 1 LED Projector Fog Lights w/LED DRLs that the DRL spot on the stalk controls the regular DRL while there is a button next to the inverter button that turns the LED DRL's on. Oh and they are not tied to the parking brake.

There is a delay of a few seconds but the fan should come on if the knob is already in any position but 'off' when you start the truck.

Thank you. I'll read the book eventually, but haven't yet. I don't find it distracting, just a useless annoyance. I drive to keep up with traffic, or ahead of it, and fill up when the needle hits E.

Ok guys, more of a question than a finding.

My 09 TE had an ignition that all you had to do was briefly turn it to start, and the car would continue to turn the starter until the engine started.

I pick up my TRD Pro this week. Does it have the same function with the ignition?

Well that answers my question. Really love that feature in my '08.

Yes. I've noticed that. I don't think it ever comes on unless I bump it up or down. It doesn't happen all the time either. Quirky for sure.

Usually this happens because the HVAC system will wait until you have warm fluid to work with before its starts blowing air. This makes sure that the air that comes out is actually warm, instead of blowing cold air into the cabin. Most vehicles with automatic climate control will do this (all the way back to my 2002 Acura). I don't think the TEP has auto climate control, but I would assume it is providing the same function. Also, keeping your heater off will allow the engine to warm up more quickly, and provide you heat in the cabin more quickly. Like many things in life, a little patience in the beginning may save you more time down the road.

Learned three things this week when I had to change a tire on mine for the first time.

1. The jack has to be extended to pretty much full before you can get the tire off (don't be worried.. that thing will continue to rise even when you think it's topped out (giggity)). The travel of the suspension is both impressive and annoying at the same time.

2. That small hole in your rear bumper is where the factory tool thingie you have to assemble inserts to catch the crank point which lowers the spare.

3. It would SUCK to have to use the factory jack in an off-road situation.

#3 is a very important point.
It is best to have flats on pavement only--not off road

I'm sure it's in here somewhere but you can turn off all your nannies for a little play time if interested. Just hold down the traction button for about 3-4 seconds. This will turn off all traction control.
