I just lined the inside of the rubber insert with them all the way around bottom to top. It helps the sticking issue a lot even without the velcro.

Nalgene bottles fit nicely in the holes if you take the rubber insert out. Otherwise, any bottle of water should be fine with the insert installed.

Noticed little round white lights up front, could not find a switch to turn them on. Guessed they are fog lights. Finally looked at the manual and found a rotary switch on the regular light switch stick. I know ------ :rtfm:

I went from a 2001 to a new 2016. Had no idea that there were DRL and your regular Headlights. Drove a few times with only my DRL on and not the regular ones

There are plenty of safe ways to carry a gun without the worry of a quick jolt from an accident discharging a round. Personally, I don't keep a round in the chamber. If needed, a quick rack of the slide and I'm ready to go. If there were a round in the chamber, the safety would certainly be on. Also, with today's internal safeties, there's no way a gun will fire without that trigger being pulled. So, I suppose if you carry your weapon with a round in the chamber, safety off and hammer cocked, there's a chance of an accidental discharge. But if you take the proper precautions, that chance is virtually zero.

lol whut?! I thought putting your gun in the console was silly but not carrying a condition 1 weapon is pointless. By the time you retrieve a gun from a holster under the armrest and chamber a round the perp will have unloaded an entire mag {EDITED}. And I dont carry a gun with manual safety or a hammer lol

I dont even bother with XM or Pandora via Entune as they sound like a tin can in a hallway. If you launch Entune app away from the truck on your phone, there is actually a checkbox on the Pandora app for "Higher Quality Audio" which still doesnt help audio quality. I now launch the Pandora app from my phone and hook up via bluetooth and it is a much better audio quality. No more sounding like a tin can under water. Make sure your phone volume is around 80-90%.

Yeah I have no idea why you would use the Entune app when you can just do this. We do have XM in another vehicle so I can actually use the XM app on my phone through the BlueTooth.

I see people doing this ALL THE TIME around dusk... What bugs me about car manufacturers is that they light up the instrument panel with DRL so as you drive by a car with no taillights, their dash is lit up so it's no wonder they think their lights are on.

I agree. A VW I had was about the same way, except the dash lights would dim down to nothing in the dark until you turned on the headlights to give you a hint of your stupidity.

At least Toyota lets you leave on the headlights all the time, so that is always an option for those who can't live without auto headlights.

Let's be clear here, I don't just use Entune for Pandora. There are a lot of other reasons why I use it as part of the entertainment package.

The second row headrest fold down. I keep mine down as much as possible.

I noticed on the Navigation that there are two blue progress bars while getting turn by turn navigation.
One on the right shows how far until your next turn.
The second on on the bottom right shows how where you are along the entire route.

I find the bottom right one helpful for a quick glance of how far out I am.

That is good to know as I found that the navigation speaks to soon on where you need to turn. My Magellon would let me know right before the turn that you needed to make a turn. The 4Runner tells you about 3 miles ahead of time. I guess my memory and ears just need to improve :shocked:

Correction!: I was refering to the one after the DRL, the parking lights, I was thinking those were the Headlights. Stupid me :withstupid:

That's because it's designed to "amplify" the lift gate speakers and increases the power to the sub. Well, not increase the power but increase the gain.

Seriously? A stock sound system option specifically designed to make music louder on the OUTSIDE of the car? Inconsiderate much?

I've had to call the neighborhood constable twice in the past month on the same group of teens who think it's cool to play basketball in the neighborhood park at 9pm at night with their 3rd Gen's rear hatch lifted and aftermarket 3 foot subwoofer blasting so loud that my doors literally rattle in their jambs...2 blocks away.

Maybe 3 foot housing, but yes literally. I went by to ask them to turn it down before calling the cops, and it was in the back cargo area between the wheel wells. Big ass thing. I didn't inspect it, but by the way my house was vibrating, I'm assuming the housing wasn't all for show.

I found out that it's possible to go through a car wash with the driver's side rear window down at least 2 inches, and never even notice until you're done.

I took Megaweapon in for a fill up and wash. Inadvertently "washed" the second row of seats too. Apparently as I leaned out the driver's side window to punch in the code for the car wash, I must have pressed slightly on one of the buttons, causing the rear side window to come down about 2". During the car wash I never felt anything splashing on me, or saw or heard anything out of the ordinary. I had no idea anything was amiss until the end when I went through the blow dryer and felt a sudden draft.

Soaked about a third of the seat, drenched the interior of the door, got the carpet and some other things wet, but no real damage done.

It also runs vertically up the drivers side of the windshield to prevent ice build up when it is swept off the windshield. I verified it with an IR thermometer.

How 'hot' does it get?

It is perplexing and I can't seem to resist temptation to ask: who, where and why some one would try to shoot their way out of vehicle?

Reality check:
1. You have No Cover and hardly any Concealment
2. You are restrained and restricted with seatbelt and interior items such as steering wheel or console
3. Your interior is filled with obstacles to impede your draw and fire
4. Your eardrums will be permanently and possibly severely damaged if you can get that shot off.
5. You are not as fast in something you don't do or practice daily. Go ahead and time yourself... (you think your target will just stand there waiting?)
