All right just noticed this, what is this felt fabric stuff attached to the side of the driver seat for?

That is so your phone does not get damaged as it falls into a black hole.

I think it's there to prevent your phone from sliding all the way down when it falls in the crack. And to funnel the Doritos roaches forward onto the Weathertecs.

At least, that's what I use it for.

Honestly don't use the terrain select, crawl, ATRAC, 4WD lo options a ton. I didn't want to forget how to engage or forget when to engage what. I made a little fold up pamphlet / cheat sheet to throw in the glove box. Want me to send it to you?

BTW - one slot is just empty if you don't have a locking diff. I fold up my registration and put it in the larger one, and fold up my insurance card in the smaller one.

I would love a download of that!

NOOB here in the T4R world.

Can you use this without your phone once you have it installed to your car? I wouldn't want to go over my data using this on a long trip.

Gotta Love Toyota... from the pamphlet:

No subscription for Scout® GPS Link will be required until after December 31, 2023.

I've got the app on my phone, but haven't spent much time with it. Guess I'll try it again, and hope the accuracy of roads in South Park, Colorado is better than the Toyota Navigation App...

If you press the recirc button on the HVAC controls it will "time out" and shut itself off. You can keep recirc mode "on" by pressing and holding the button for about 5 seconds. It will stay in recirc until you turn the truck off.

Will the light turn off too? Mine is a 2013 LE and does not turn off. It will stay in recirc even if I turn it off and back on.

sry if this was covered on page 1134, but wasn't going to search for it.
