Just found out today on the way to work you can adjust the intermediate setting of the wipers lol. Just rotated that little knob and was surprised it moved lol.
Yep, I noticed the wheel display just before my first off road outing. Didn't think it would be a big deal but it is great for straightening things up in a tight spot. I didn't know it showed the doors too.

So while working on my rear diff breather, I noticed that the trailer power connector. The 7 pin connector is on top, closer to the rear bumper, but there's also a 4 pin connector further under the bumper.
I already had the adapter from my 4th Gen's previous owner, but now there's no need to keep it in the back of my 5th Gen 4Runner.

Yes...yes. Got it, but my $65,000 Tahoe only has 7 pin connector...and I can't keep the adapter in the Tahoe or my wife will lose it. So I have to keep the adapter in my truck.
...and then when you loan your 4Runner to your brother to drive the Jetskis to Michigan and you go to rent a uhaul trailer in your Wife's Tahoe ...you end up buying the adapter AGAIN @ Uhaul prices. fml

Refreshing to know it's supposed to be bent... I thought I had backed into something while wheeling and bent it (i had hit the hitch on something). :lalala:

I discovered that due to the location of the 4 pin connector being so far away from the hitch, my trailer wiring was not long enough and I had to get a short jumper wire to connect my trailer.

Intermittent! I was having a brain fart when I said intermediate at the time. But yes, I am saying the speed of the intermittent setting is adjustable which I never realized at all lol. It was set at the fastest setting and I was happy enough to have an intermittent setting. I drove a Tacoma for a while before this 4Runner and that didn't have it. It was a gripe of mine.

Ok, apparently this is true but it puts the vehicle in neutral you can no longer use the throttle. Seems dangerous to me and I wouldn't recommend it.

Really embarrassing thing I learned today --- and let me be clear - I judged people who did this for YEARS. I warn you it can happen to the best of us now.
Getting gas, went inside to buy something, came back out and drove away. Heard the "CLUNK" noise, fearing I had just caused the pump to detach from the unit as I've seen happen before ... BUT NO ... the 2016 TEP 4 Runner gas valve thing is FLEXIBLE !!! If you drive away with the handle still in your car, it bends back and the handle just pops right out so the embarrassing detach doesn't happen to you!
Guys this was the best surprise feature ever. May you never need it yourself. But next time you fill up I bet you didn't notice its flexible, but now you will.
