Think this is a good deal?

I am currently waiting for my order to arrive (2015 TEP w/ KDSS), and had some thoughts like you did, except over KDSS instead of sunroof.
I was half torn on the KDSS, and it made the car a bit over budget. I did want the sunroof and softtex though.
End of story, I plan on keeping this car until I can give it to my kids. A few grand in the length of ownership is worth saving for. Especially if it's something you want. Maybe if you're gonna get rid of the car in a short while, not getting the sunroof is okay, but if it's something you really want, I believe it's worth it.
Having just got out of a WRX, I spent a lot of the time owning that car, wishing I had gotten an STi. Was the same story as above, and I won't make the same mistake again.

When spending near $40,000 on anything (for that matter cut the number in half and logic would still apply) I would make sure it is exactly what you want. If you want a sliding tray and sunroof then I would say order one and wait. Its not much to ask to get exactly the options you want. You may have to pay a little extra for it but again in the scheme of the numbers we are talking an extra thousand shouldn't make or break the deal.
That's a pretty good price. I got mine for $35,500. I think it's optioned the same...

I assume this a new 4Runner.
In order to get a sunroof, a sliding tray and the same Entune Audio with NAV I think you'd pay about $4100 to $4500 (MSRP) more for the Trail Edition Premium, which also has leather-like upholstery. See the Toyota official website Build page for MSRP pricing.
This is a good price for the Trail Edition with KDSS and NAV. I will be paying about $750 less through Costco. See the last several pages of "What did you Pay For Your 2014 4Runner" thread for more info. It has been ongoing for a while and now covers prices people paid for 2015 T4Rs.
I don't care for the sliding tray because it takes up valuable space on the cargo floor. It raises the back floor and leaves some unused space around the slide mechanism.
I'm so fair skinned I can't really open the sunroof without getting a sunburn. Lol
