Thinking about first 4Runner

Newbie here... Current ride is 2007 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 Crewcab I bought new and put 110,000 miles on... Ready for something new. Needs have changed, no more boats and ATVs to haul...newer house with less maintenance and smaller yard and no remodeling planned so needs for truck have lessened. I was really leaning towards a Tacoma for smaller size, reliability, etc, but started looking at 4runners and am hooked. Tacoma just doesn't have the amenities I'm used to, but the T4R interior is very nice. My dealer has a white TRD Pro that I plan to check out tomorrow. I'm lusting over that beast, but... No discount!! My buddy is in sales there and can get me a deal on another model but even he would pay MSRP if he wanted a Pro. Love the Pro, but planning to price a Trail Premium and swap on the black TRD wheels. I'm also anxiously awaiting the Jan 12th announcement of the new Tacoma... But even if I love it, I don't think I can wait nearly a year for it.

Advice:
get a 4runner. your need for a truck seems to have passed.

I'm a 3rd gen guy, so my advice on which newer model to get is non-existent. But I can tell you that there are some really cool ones in the 5th Gen section.

You might post there asking for opinions; you will probably get more input there than in the new member section.
