Thinking About Selling My 2011 LTD 4Runner

And moving into a larger V8 SUV (2015 Denali most likely). I like the 4Runner but it only does half of what I want it to do (can't tow my Jeep and it's underpowered as hell).

I've had my 4Runner since Nov 2010 and done a few nice mods to it but I'm seriously on the fence about selling it and going with a 2015 Denali. Anyone else sell theirs or on the fence?

GM product? Absolutely not! My last GM product, a full size truck, had the tranny go out at 63K miles. 3K miles out of warranty and no help from GM. That was my last GM vehicle.

Trust me I'm not a fan of American Trucks/SUV's but the only other option is the Sequoia which looks like a fat chick on a moped to me. There just aren't any V8 Foreign SUV's to chose from.

Way outside of my price range and too big should the wife need to drive it. I tried getting a F250 before we bought our 4Runner and took her on a test drive and she was like "No F'ing Way".

I know its a bit more than Denali but the Land Cruiser is awesome and has a very nice 5.7 in her.

It's $20,000 more, MSRP starting price is $78,000.00 (love the LC though)! I don't know how anyone can afford a vehicle that expensive. Hell the Denali starts at $58,000, which is scary enough of a car payment.

I'm with DWM-4Runner...I will probably be trading the Runner in a year or so. Not because of towing, family, etc..It's just that I get tired of my vehicles every 3-4 years or so. If/when I decide to get another vehicle or truck, there is no way in hell I would buy a GM/Ford/or Chrysler product

Yea you right..I wasn't even thinking..but yea it is about 20k more..sheesh 80 plus K!!

It sounds like you bought the wrong vehicle in the first place OP. Make the move to GM and take a hit on payments and repair bills.

my thoughts too. a 2010-2011 will be even more affordable... and still reliable.

I would not put myself into debt over vanity especially for a daily driver that will get trashed by kids and coffee JMHO.

58k is a lot of money for a DD. you can get a nice diesel truck for less than that, maybe not the most luxurious model but you can get a 4 door 4x4 with a diesel.

We have a 2009 Denali XL......no issues with it except for my wife backing into my cars/truck on occassion....the thing is a major gas guzzler though.....I'm talking 9mpg.....

I love Denali's. If they didn't cost $70k and if gas was sub $1/L ($3.75/Gal) I'd look into one of those gas guzzling monstrosities. There is something very satidfying about the sound of a huge V8.

Anyway, if you can afford a Denali, you can afford a super duty (they start at half the price of a Denali in Canada), and probably something sweet like a Lexus GX? What about an Infiniti QX or Nissan Armada? Both are cheaper, in Canada anyway. Not saying any of these are great because I know nothing about them, but I'd say you have options.

I would also investigate a possible Sequioa refresh/next gen. I agree they look like a fatty but they're probably due for a whole new model soon.... If they keep it that is.

Why not a Lexus GX 460? You can get into one for $49,000 USD now.

Personally, I love the new Denali and if I had the means I would be the first to have one. That is one hot SUV.

anyway, if i had a choice i would do what [MENTION=85537]Lolrax[/MENTION] did, get a CPO GX460, its the v8 version of the 4runner anyway.
