This happen to anyone else?

I called up the dealership yesterday to order new lower ball joints for my '97. The gentleman told me the total came to 230 something. He then told me I get 15% off due to the age of the vehicle? I'm definitely not complaining. Has this happened to anyone else, or could this just be this specific dealership's way?

I have gotten to know my parts guys at the dealer. About a year ago one of the parts guys asked me for my name, address, phone number so he could give me an account with a 15% discount. He didn't say it was because of the age of my vehicle(98 runner) but I'll take it.
YMMV

Most of the online discount places have balljoints for $85 each. That's $170 plus about $20 shipping for a total of about $190.

Here is the link to the kit that I bought to replace the "inner/outer, upper/lower joints and sway links" for $125.99 w/free s/h.....also bought the front and rear stuts/shocks and replaced all at the same time... dealership is too expensive....return the parts (if you haven't used them yet) and get these...

I have been given a 10-15% before but they said it was for being a valued customer....that before I knew I was being overcharged for parts....

Yeah if you called the exact same dealership back and said you wanted their internet price you would also get 15-20% off.

I get 20-25% every time I buy from the stealership, but only cus our club is on the list for discounted parts. Not to mention they recognize me cus I'm in there so much so I never have to ask lol.
