My garage floor and driveway has a slope to it and the 4runner has zero rake because my 906s have sagged. I think the factory rake was 1"? Despite living in Nebraska there is not any convenient level ground near by s when I check the transmission or diff fluids in the garage I put the floor jack under the tow hitch and jack the back up until the frame is about level according to a beam level, which feels about right.
This is an OCD question, but what is considered "level" ?

Yeah, jacking up the rear end and eyeballing to a level position is close enough. If you are slightly under-filled or over-filled for your manual transmission or differentials, it's not going to hurt anything. If you are overfilled, you could potentially puke gear oil out your breathers but that's about it. You just don't want to be way under-filled or way over-filled. I have a fairly positive rake to my rig and I know this causes me to get my transfer case a little over-filled but I don't lose any sleep over it.
