Here is a pic of me trying to go to holcomb valley as I did few weeks ago.

Except this time, I got stuck for the first time (all part of the fun). Luckily, it's a popular trail so a LC100 showed up to winch me out.

I really want to buy a winch now, but I probably get some maxtraxs.

Details please! How was it you got stuck? High-centered? How deep was the snow? Which tires? No chains? Why didn't the LC get stuck?

I was sorely tempted to go up there last weekend, might have been stuck up there too, but the kid was not intetested so I stayed local.

while waiting for other snow wheelers, here is a pic from a dron and you can see how it happened.

The snow dept was about 14-16 inches and the track left by previous car was little too close to the ditch on the left. You can see signs of previous track further to the right.

my car slipped ever slightly and when i made a correction, my left rear dropped slightly to the ditch and lost traction.

LC100 stayed on the tracks and flat areas so he didn't get stuck. I wanted to keep going, but my passengers protested so I decided to head back.

i have duratracs and elocked rear but what i needed was some maxxtraxs. I would love to go back next time storms hits during a weekend.
