This sucks - Life is short

I own a 5th gen and a 3rd gen and I actually owned the 5th gen first. So, that purchase is what led me to this forum, and I used to spend my time here in the 5th gen forum. I seem to spend a lot more time here in the 3rd gen forum these days, but I still lurk around the 5th gen side to see if anything is interesting.

Tonight, I found and started reading this thread:

Sorry to hear this about anyone. I have a close neighbor and friend that is suffering at this very moment and her days are numbered. Prayers for these and other families going through this.

I know!!! Very devastating!! I posted in that thread last night as well. Weird cause I don't own a 5th gen. but for some reason I went in there cause I like the 5th gens.. But yes, Life is Too Short.. For we should never take anything for granted.

Reading those links, with the health updates, gave me flashbacks of the health problems I had from 2006 - 2010. Mine were not the same as Mike, but after I had almost died twice during that 4 year time span, having 5 major bowel surgeries, dropping over 55lbs off of my 185lbs frame and subsequent small procedures, Mike's story really hit home for me.

I'm healthy now, but reading those posts, brought back some bad memories, and reminds me that LIFE IS A PRECIOUS THING.

I don't want to preach here folks, but like Mike posted once, "Cuddle with your spouse" (something to that effect anyway). Take the time to show your loved ones you care, treat people with respect, and remember....it can all be over in the time it takes to take a breath.

I pray for Mike's Family, and know that he IS now in a better place......

I didn't know Mike, but I know what he and his family has gone through. I went through about 2 years of cancer ,I have 2 brothers dealing with it right now,1 for the third time and the other for a second time. My Dad died of cancer when he was only 50. This stuff will take a toll on you and your family..All we can do is keep Mike's wife in our prayers...

Is there any where we can make donations to Mike's wife? I'm sure she could use some help at this time..

thanks for sharing, sad to lose such a valuable member no matter the reason, but he no longer suffers and for that we can all be thankful, RIP mike:sadwave:
