Thornbird 33" on stock rims/stock height

Will these tires fit? I am looking to get a set and have my torsion bars cranked up and wonder if they'll rub? In a few months i will lift it more but want to know if I will have the clearance? Any thoughts??

the 1991 parts truck i bought had 33x12.5x15s on it and no lift. they cranked the t bars up all the way and trimmed alittle plastic out of the inner finder and they didnt rub at all.

If you take off the road they're going to rub, even with the t-bars "cranked".
Not to mention cranking the t-bars that much will make the truck ride even stiffer.
But you could always try it, and put on a suspension or body lift later.

They are pretty noisy, but what he is talking about is that they are horrible off road. There are much better tires for the money.

Well..... the story is that i found a set on craigslist for 50 bucks and they have about 30% left on the tread. I just need them to last for a couple of months before I lift it and I am most likely going to buy 32x11.50R15 BFG KM2's. Just thought for the price that it would be cool for a little while, but the hold back now is that I drive it every day 20 miles (highway) and dont want to rip up the car for a couple months. Any last thoughts??

A friend of mine used to have a set of thornbirds. I was shocked at how easily the tires would spin and overall lack of traction in terrain that the average AT tire would handle without a problem. 50$ is cheap but are you gonna have to pay to have them mounted too? You might wanna just wait for the new tires unless you would be getting them more for testing out the size rather than capability

A friend I wheel with has thornturds on his land cruiser. Lots of meat on them, but they still suk off road. His truck is heavily modified, and stockers can still out wheel his rig.

Don't waste your $$$$. Pick up some cheap all terrains to hold you over if you will be on the road a lot.
