Personally, even though the AT tread may still be ‘recognizable’, towards the end of the last bit of tread, it’ll blow in the rain compared to a newer tire—and most certainly compared to the regular folk all-seasoned-equipped passenger cars.
I like to maintain some type of passable wet/snow performance, so I typically sell our tires once it reaches around 6/32” on the used market for a few hundred, and put that towards something newer, quieter, whatever’s new.
