Those with aftermarket bumpers...

I've been reading up having to bend AC high pressure lines during an install of a bumper/winch. I recently installed a steel bumper that required me to bend the AC line in front of the radiator to clear the bumper crossmember. My question is, for those that have bent their AC lines have you experienced any problems over years? I ask because someone mentioned that any bending of the factory "bends" may effect the pressurized AC system. I thought is that as long as there are no cracks or kinks in the line then the system should be fine.

1) How I bent my AC line to clear any rubbing of the bumper crossmember.
2) I even used a grinder to make a notch for even more clearance after I bend my bends. I also added pressure hose as extra protection.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about unless you kinked it...

Every vehicle in the platform family has this design quirk. I remember the gnashing of teeth on the FJ Cruiser forums when the early adopters had shops bubba the AC line and kink it.

I just removed the two bolts holding the AC line because the winch was hitting it. Not a big deal. I did not make any modifications, bends, cuts, etc.

You should be fine as long as you don't have any metal on metal contact. You wrapped it in rubber hose too. Just keep an eye on it for a little while. My Shrockworks bumper you have to bend the hell out of the power steering lines so it would fit.
