Well I had a 4Runner. I loved it. I don't regret it, but I do miss that truck very much. She was awesome. So I plan on buying another 3rd gen when the time comes. So why not hang around here on my first forum and expand my knowledge so when I do buy another I'm still up to date. Plus sometimes e46fanatics is to uhhhhhh.... yeah well the bimmer community is great and all but you can get the stereotypical BMW owners who can be a major douche bags.

You have a 4runner then you are not missing much.. My transmission blew at 67k miles.. Luckly it was under warranty.

TIt rode like crap with a full rubicon lift. Humming noise after a slipyoke and angled correctly.. GOt 12mpg..

It was in excellent shapr whan I sold it.. 18year old kids graduation gift.. Lucky him..

I think its a great 2nd vehicle and can flex, and have more offroad capability than the 4runner..

But definately not a daily driver.. I had a hardtop, safari, and bikini.. All made lots of wind noise..

which jeep did you have, the grand cherokee??? The cherokee tranny n engine were bullet proof. i had a 97 that I got with a 160,000 miles and when I sold it, i had 200,000 still on the original engine and transmission. granted I don't do any serious offroading but I was hauling w/ my trailer, 4wheeling on the beach, and using it as my daily driver. I definitely got at least 16mpg w/ mine too. the 4runner is obviously a much better ride with a solid frame vs the uni-body of the jeep.
