Thoughts on getting yearly Rust Check sprayed on

Like I said to KarlwithaK, I thought rustproofing company who contracts with a specific dealer/brand would have better understanding on where is prone to rust. No?
Ziebart, Krown, Rust Check - thought they all offer similar oil. Why is Ziebart a problem?

Ziebart is a high pressure outfit and there are several problems. (And this is all from personal experience.) First, there's the price. For instance, you can get just the undercoating done around here for about $800 including "free annual resprays." Free? I think it's pretty obvious that the cost of the resprays is built right in there.

Second, the annual resprays are an annual opportunity for them to twist your arm for additional services. They always have a very long list of things that you really need. And the pressure they apply is stupid. I hate having my arm twisted.

Third, the undercoating in particular is a horrible product. Remember, although it somewhat prevents corrosion, it doesn't stop corrosion that's already started. So what happens at the annual resprays? They cover up the rust that's started and everything looks just fine. But the rust that's started keeps right on forming and you can't see it - until it's too late. In fact the undercoating actually traps moisture to further accelerate corrosion. What a racket!

And finally, the quality of the work you get is highly dependent on which minimum wage flunky applies it. Starting to get my drift?

Please forgive my brutal honesty here, but I really, really don't like the company, their products or their ethics.

I'm totally sold on the effectiveness of Fluid Film. Last year I had my buddy weld on the frame rail end caps for my winch, and neither of us had spray paint on us at the time. He just soaked it with Fluid Film and I went like that all winter, and it's still not rusty. To be fair, I wasn't driving a ton this winter, but I was still out in the salt and brine more than I would have liked.

I've gotten my truck oil sprayed at a local place several winters now, and it has definitely slowed the rust down big time. They use new hydraulic oil in all the body panels, and new heavy gear oil on the undercarriage. It's an absolute mess to work on, but at least I have a truck to work on, lol

If I were starting with a new vehicle that had never been oil sprayed, I think I'd go for something more waxy vs oily, like CRC Marine 06026, which the reviews say is cosmoline-based.
