Thoughts on these wheels?

Thanks - to be clear; the truck came with flat black Pro "Sema" wheels (same as these just a different color). I was going to sell them but now I'm not so sure...

I like them, but I"m a fan of gunmetal rims, I like the look personally. Everyone and their mother has black TRD rims on their T4R

I also like gunmetal colored wheels. Might I suggest a beefier tire, maybe with white letters? I think that might sway your opinion.

Take for instance this...

flip through the pictures.

Not trying to be rude at all but my honest opinion is they don't look good. Not sure if it's just the lighting, the picture, or whatever but the grey wheels are ruining a beautiful vehicle.

Just my opinion. I'd still drive it but I think I'd rather drive it with the black wheels.

I might be in the minority here but,

I'm not a big fan of Calvary Blue to begin with, but those wheels do look good on that 4R.

I'm running silver faux Pros on my MGM. I've yet to come across another set in person unlike the 2 dozen sets of black ones I see everyday.

Everybody has black wheels and personally I think they are overrated. Maybe its because I was running them back in 2005 and I'm over them.

Things that would help those wheels look better:

level or lift kit

larger tires

replace the nerf/steps with sliders

i don't dig the black look, especially with blue, although that blue is a weird hue and may fit better with black.

but i also like the gunmetal look. you can make it work in any case, but you might want think about other changes. if you can change all the badging from black to gunmetal, that might be a great looking and unique ride, but not sure how easy that would be to accomplish.

also, i'd ditch the nerf bars, but maybe that's just preference/bias.

They are boring......they just don't ''pop'' at all on that Truck. Maybe a machined wheel or a black and machined combo! If they don't give you the warm and fuzzies get something else! Everytime you come out to get in should be that moment you say ''damn, that's My badass Truck''!

Good looking rig! The wheels don't do the TRD Pro justice. Like others have said, the titanium grey just doesn't pop. Looks bland. IMO, I would stay away from a set of painted wheels that will compete with the beautiful color of you TRD Pro. A set of machined wheels will look good.

The bronze would look fantastic on there. The FN Fx Pro in bronze with the machined TRD center caps would look amazing. I have the gunmetal SEMA wheels on my silver ORP, and they were previously on my wife's Barcelona red SR5. I also painted all my emblems, rock rails, roof rack, and front and rear bumper trim in gunmetal to tie in with the wheels. They look great on both of those colors, but seem a bit bland on the Cav blue.

I've been kinda pondering on this thread a lot today trying to come up with a way to word this that doesn't sound offensive or off putting.

One thing my wife said to me not too long ago when was contemplating a small purchase (shorts or socks or a shirt or something, don't remember) was "If you're not in love with it don't buy it." I remember her saying that when I'm shopping often.

Basically, the fact that you're asking the opinion of others about your own rig means you aren't in love with it. Not that the approval or disapproval of anyone else should matter anyways.

That all being said, I'd drive it despite my lack of love for the wheels.

I like them. Every truck-bruh and punk in his Corolla now has black wheels. These look a bit more sophisticated on what is already a tough-looking truck.
