Thoughts: What Wheels?

I just wish more of the companies posted or in general had wheel weights. I don't see any reason to change without going lighter than stock.

This x100. Its pretty frustrating that you have to dig so deep for wheel weight sometimes.

SCS wheel without the fake beadlocks. 17x8.5 weighs a little less than 23 lbs and is hub-centric. 3 different colors.

Usually it is hard to find wheel weights when they are heavy. Easy to find on SCS website.

Some of the Black Rhino wheels are awesome and very unique. I too do not like the fake bead locks. Here are some examples that I like;

Those look great, but they're ridiculously heavy.

I agree. That's why I like the FN Konig Six Shooter at 21 lbs. + Coopers AT34s's (255/75/17) are 39 lbs. = 60 lbs. per corner. Many on this forum run big tires that weigh close to 60 lbs. without a rim. I think the combo I will choose will improve road handling and make the car more nimble whilst gaining a slight improvement over MPG.

I like you're thinking! I've been looking at wheels/tires myself, and have disqualified a few just for weight. Like a stock sized Ridge Grappler is 55 lbs, and the Black Rhino wheels are all 30lbs plus.

I had SCS 6’s on my Tacoma when I had that and then sold them. If I decide to change up my wheels on my Pro I will probably go with SCS F5’s one of my choices. Or there maybe a different design by then from SCS.

I really wanted Falken Wildpeaks 275/70/17 but they weigh 57.1 lbs. in a C-load rating. The Coopers are less aggressive, but seems to be excellent tires. I think they will also be easier to balance. I have the bug but I just got hit with a huge Tax bill. :cry2: Once I recover from the bleeding, I will go ahead and upgrade.

I was always on Tacoma world when I had my Tacoma and you new when they were going to be in stock. And be ready to buy because they went fast. I don’t think they go as fast now. Hope this helps.
