Hi,

I know millions of topics talked about the CRC MAF Sensor cleaner BUT
My dealer propose me to clean it with the Throttle Cleaner?

I dont have any CEL come in yet. I just love some power these last month since I ride 300 Km with the air box open... (oops)

Thank you

MAF Cleaner is for MAFs
TB Cleaner is for TBs

Maybe it doesn't matter, but considering how much a MAF costs, I wouldn't take that gamble.

It matters very much. Throttle cleaner is much harsher than maf cleaner. Use the cleaners for their intended purpose.

MAF cleaner is an electronic component cleaner that evaporates without leaving any residue. TB cleaner is made to remove grease and oil, not clean the delicate components in the MAF.

If you don't want to spend as much on MAF cleaner you can use contact cleaner which is basically the same thing and can be found cheaper. Just try to find some that says it leaves zero residue.

Do not use TB cleaner on your MAF, use only MAF cleaner! ive had 2 customers that ruined their MAFs with brake clean and TB cleaner.
