I ordered an entire TB from Toyota here (mcgeorge toyota):

Throttle Body 22030-62020 1 $627.40
A little more palatable than $1100. My 2002 has 250k miles...was throwing both IAC and TPS codes. Both are integrated into the TB. I am annoyed it's so much...but heck...I got 17 worry free years out of the old one.

2001 tps
First off thank you for posting this thread! I now have a new TPS on the way for my 2001 4Runner and I did not have shell out $650 for a new TB! Question: when you replaced your TPS was it just plug and play? I haven't been able to find any instructions so far.

I purchased the TPS from partsgeek linked above planned on changing during TB job and other under hood maint. I do not have any TPS codes.
The two holes for TPS mounting are slotted on one is use and new one. Mounting screws on one in use has yellow marking paint on them, along with one other adjustable screw near TPS on Thottle body. I'm assuming these markings are proof marks showing TPS has been tuned to thottle plate position good for installation on vehicle.
As I see it, we are going to have to figure out the tuning process for this to be a successful swap. Be it trial and error throw it on adjust as needed or use a meter reading ohms of one in use replicate those readings with new one. This I do not see as being a plug n play thing, if position was not important slotted holes would not be needed. Putting TPS on back burner till I think on this a bit more.

I don't have any instructions on replacing it but I would scribe on the original TPS and then use those marks as a reference/starting point also you could use marks if you need to put it back. A picture won't hurt either.

Scribing the outline of TPS on TB had crossed my mind for reference point also. Having worked with encoders no two are the same, Using scribe marks and meter I'm thinking should be very close if not spot on.
