Throttle response hesitation

This fixed my 2001 4Runner hesitation problem.

This fixed my 2001 4Runner hesitation. I simply roughed up the electrical contacts going to the throttle body. There is a 4-wire connector on each side of the throttle body. One is accessible by simply unplugging it. The other requires a little (but not much) work to get to it. This hesitation problem plagued me, off and on, for a year and a half with no one able to diagnose the problem. On a lark, I tried a little sand paper from my tool box and the problem left (instantly) and has been gone for over a year now.

Just go to the dealer and ask them what the part number for that is... Its basically what any of us are going to have to do to get the part number, to post up here and give to you... It's not a common enough part for anyone here to probably know by heart or have saved.

alright guys, I need your assistance.

My throttle doesnt always respond right away. it happens usually when im driving and i let off the pedal, then when i reapply pressure the rpms dont move for about 2-3 seconds. This also seems to happen occasionally when coming from a stop too.

This is happening more frequently and its starting to become a safety issue when in intersections.

i cleaned the maf a couple months ago, and it didnt change anything. air cleaner is a couple months old.

What ended up being the problem? Did you find a solution?
