Throw bearing chatter: high mileage

Sunday night the throw bearing began to chatter soundly enough that even I could hear it. The local dealer o not seem interested. The garage I use for oil changes and general service recommended an independent transmission shop.

They use after market clutch assemblies. I prefer Toyota parts. Are there any after market clutches that are good--or which ones should I avoid?

This a '99, SR5, and I am the original owner--280,000 miles.

This is what I installed two years ago. AISIN is the maker of the OEM clutch. This kit has been slightly redesigned but I have complete confidence in the AISIN parts for which they were original supplier.Toyota owns a big piece of AISIN. I installed it myself and it shifts as smooth as butter. I highly recommend you do your shift seat bushings while you are at it. Makes a world of difference. (Marlin crawler sells polyurethane ones.)

Thank you---I am out of the DIY demographic. The shop would have used a Luke--but agreed to used Toyota parts. Next up on the to-do list is the timing belt. Then I'll be good for another 100K.
