Thrush Turbo Muffler

I was shopping around for a new muffler and came across this: Thrush Turbo Muffler for only $31.99 at AutoZone. Looking at some of the reviews as well as videos on YouTube, there have been a lot of comparisons to the Flowmaster but for only 32 bucks I'm a little skeptical. Please let me know if any of you guys have installed this and if you like it...thanks!

FWIW, the Thrush Turbo muffler in your link at Autozone, is a different type of muffler than the Thrush Welded muffler in your video links.

The Turbo muffler will sound different than the Welded mufflers.

I had the Thrush Welded Muffler on both of my Tundras. I know its a V8 and not a V6, but I loved the tone and overall sound. Can not go wrong with a Thrush for the price. Im going to buy another Thrush and put on my Runner real soon. A very good muffler and the quality seemed overbuilt for a $30 muffler.

Yeah the second link is my truck. I've had the muffler for a few months now and I still really like it.

I was actually looking at it when I walked in the store today. But than I told my self the only good sounding 6cyl are RB's and 2Jz's not my 4runner.

Got it from O'Rielly's.

The weld broke on it, so I got another.

That should tell ya how much I like the sound of it.


GREAT Muffler for the 30something bucks I spent of it. Love the sound.

Not Ricey, but not deep muscle either.

No drone either. You hear it when you get on the gas, but not really any other time. You can tell it's there, but it's not like a LS1 running straight headers.

I was wondering about that as it is just a baffle box muffler. I have the turbo and it is noticeable that you have exhaust done but there is literally no drone at 55-75. Mainly the sound is on the lower end and not the upper.

Overall I love the muffler for a DD. not as aggressive (not getting noticed as much by LEOs) but still sounds good
