time for a new suspension

i posted over in the other section but didnt get much help....
my 04 limited 4x4 is nearing 80k so i wanted to take out xreas and put in new shocks. im looking at OME shocks and springs with some LR UCAs to get 3".

however i was wondering what options there are if i wanted more than 3". i dont really want to get a body lift.

are longer shocks and bigger tires my only option?

ya was thinking of going the OME route now....any other suggestions?

is OW worth it? not doing any hardcore wheeling but i do get out on the trails and there are alot of opportunites here in oregon.

I recommend ICON. Lots of guys running it. High quality, rebuildable stuff. Adjustable height front from 0-3 and rear is 2".

I have just the basic lift, but you can go crazy with upgrades.

yeah metaltech4x4 is having a 20% sale right now on their icon stuff, but i felt like that was a little over kill for what i do. little over my budget as well. i figure the OME would be around 6-700.

i see your from aiea as well. i am from kailua but i am currently going to school here in oregon

I'm running Radflow front adjustable coil overs and Radflow rear springs with icon shocks. I love the ride and handling. I also installed some firestone airbags in the rear spring to prevent sag while towing a trailer.

It was a little expensive but the coil overs have 2.5 inch shocks that are also fully rebuildable.

Bilstein 5100 front and rear. Great value, great performance, great longevity. You can reuse your factory springs up front and add toytec 2.0 coils in rear for 3"+ of lift. I currently run the Bilstein 5100 front shocks with stock coils and Wheelers 3/4" spacer up front (4" total lift) and OME 60020 extended length rear shock with Toytec RCC2.0 coils and a custom 1" spacer in back (3" lift). Looks great and has served me well. I am switching to 5100 rear shocks this weekend.

yeah ive installed a set of 5100s on my tacoma. i wanted to go with something a little beefier though this time. ive currently got FJ TT springs on but i was most likely going to replace those with 885s if i go OME.

if i had the money i would get a set of camburg COs....

is that advisable to run your 5100s with a spacer also? what setting are you on?

I just purchased this set up, Bilstein Height adjustable front and matching 5100 Rear shocks, to replace my failing xreas system on a 2003 4runner limited at 97k miles. I'm planning to raise the front to match the rear hieght and add a air bag in the rear coil for towing and heavy loads. For keeping it simple and relatively cheap this set up seems to get good reviews. I need to research further if this will allow room for a slightly taller tire. Hoping to install it next weekend and attempting a DIY job.
