Timing woes

Hey guys,
I had to swap a head and did timing while I was at it. The belt I got didn't have markings that lined up perfectly (drivers cam was about half tooth off in markings), so I made the markings a little past the cam mark instead of before. Now everytime I turn the motor 360, both markings move a little clockwise..

Is this normal or.. do I see another timing job? Gates belt iirc.

if the marks on the cam sprockets line up, you're fine. The marks on the belt should move over to the right a tooth per rotation if I remember correctly

see, see, im not crazy! someone or something erases those arrows on the timing belt and repaints them a tooth over! :shrug:
