That's crazy. I'm pretty sure that Timmy is the exact opposite of a communist so that can't be the reason. But I'm curious. Anyone know why Timmy's video was deleted? Too independent, positive and informative maybe?

Its Facebook. They sensor everything. I still wonder why anyone still uses it.

It's a shame they deleted anything off Tim's wall. However they dont believe in anything listed in the bill of rights. :(

Pretty sure Sean runs the TtT social media empire but I don't use that form of FB. It's a bummer Zuck bought IG, because I still find that platform very useful.

The only social media I use today is two 4R forums. I deleted my FB account 6-7 years ago. Never used any others.

3bears, Lol the title got me had to click.

Kind of Twilight Zone stuff when you look around us and see the world around us mimicking a fictional novel written 72 yrs ago. Ha.

Excuse the tangent, but it seems that there is way more FB 3rd gen activity than there is on this forum. I recently re-made my FB account just to be able to troll for marketplace crap. But the general FB 4Runner discussion is typically nothing but worthless, posturing, insinuating crap.

How do we attract the helpful, serious-minded people to this forum and away from the FB shitshow?

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” ― George Carlin

social media is a double edged sword, it's hard to infer the intentions, mood, tone of black and white text @ times. I tend to give out likes and thanks on the this forum as much as possible, even times when somebody gives a dissenting opinion.

the fact that somebody took the time to respond and maybe even gave me food for thought was worth giving out free internet points.

maybe that makes me a weak minded fool but I enjoy a good "hmmm that is an interesting way of thinking about it?" head scratch.

I left and have never returned to FB since back in '16, got tired of all the political crap FB would push onto me. IMO, FB is sophmoric.

But yeah wouldn't the Same video be on YT?

Well, I'm guessing most of those folks join in the FB 4Runner discussions because they're already on FB and it's easy, just a click away. Plus, let's face it - FB members like a good argument/fight. That's one of the main reasons I left - every comment was met with an argument, it seemed. Here, while there is also the occasional argument, there's at least a focus on 4Runners as the main reason for the forum existing. FB exists to focus on, well, everything, so the 4Runner discussions likely draw in the drive-by riff raff that really have little specific interest in 4Runners. Not sure how you would select out the serious-minded ones to invite them here.

well obviousy im on facebook.thats how i found out about our little communist...kidding timmy.......kind of have to be on facebook as my family is stretched all across the usa and its how i know whats going on. It also seems to be a better market place. I bought this 4runner from facebook, and even my last 2001 was on facebook. When I sold my 2001, I had it posted on craigslsit and facebook....it was a hit on facebook that sold it. and craigslsit I would often end up with strange people or no shows...or super low ball people
The 4runner forum on facebook is often just......what size tire...what is it worth...what kind of oil..
sometimes when I see someone with a real issue I will chime in or send them this way.
I did find that a person that sells parts that was very often on here...is now not....and now on facebook 4runner forum.....I sent him an pm here, got no answer...then saw on facebook and got an answer...and my parts....
dont want to mention names if there is an issue

My son signed me up for facebook years ago and i ditched it after a month. It was like breaking up with a crazy girlfriend. You tell them No,no way we are done and they follow you around for month looking for any chance to squeeze back in. My wife uses it but she is an artist and she uses it for exposure along with instagram. In my opinion facebook is a huge rabbit hole with nothing of value in it

Despite being involved with IT in one form or another since the late 80's (me and Al invented the internette, you see), I have never had a real FB account - just a short-lived lurker account to try to catch a glimpse of an ex-gf I let slip away....YT is very worthwhile to me and IG lets me know when underground bands I'm interested in are coming through or releasing music much better than any other platform. I have no family to keep up with other than my immediate wife/kids and I find Zuckerberg and his empire extremely annoying. I just came across a video of him piloting a hydrofoil on lake Tahoe holding a flag on the 4th. King of the milquetoast d-bags. Doesn't help that I live amongst his legion of app-holes, either....

Try joining the 3.4 Supercharged group. I try and give real-life advise as I've done more work on a supercharged engine than most. My advice get drowned out by "you need this thing" or "my rig runs just fine" anecdotes. There's only about 10 out of 4,600 members that actually know what they are talking about.

At least everyone here is smart enough to ditch it, almost refreshing to see. It seems like the overwhelming norm these days is to ***** about how oppressive and almost unconstitutional sites like FB and Google and Twitter are and how toxic the userbase is, but then scoff at the idea of deleting their account or do relatively anything BUT give them unending support... like yep it sure is a mystery how things got this way

I only have facebook to buy/sell things (craigslist is dead) and as a way to contact guys I served with. I've got one friend who gets a new number every 1-3 months. I have no idea why either lol
