Tips for purchasing used 2006

We have found a used 2006 4Runner (V6, limited edition,4wd) with only 22,000 miles. Supposedly belongs to an older gentleman who kept it in a garage and hardly ever drove it. Thanks to forum, I was able to access service records which shows last service in June 2008 at ~15,000 miles.

Perusing the forums I have found two things to pointers in checking it out.
1.) brake calipers.
2.) 4WD actuators. check by engaging 4wd hi and lo (must be stopped in neutral for 4lo) as well as the center diff lock. The dash lights will flash then go solid if shift went OK, it can take many seconds.

Assuming it is legit (really low miles, garage kept), is there anything else we should look for when we check it out?

Thanks
Carol

Crawl underneath and look for rust. The rustiest part is often hidden by the spare tire so drop the tire down and at the frame that was behind it.

It's obviously possible that he had is serviced by somebody other than the dealer. I'd pull a Carfax or similar report since they will often show more information than the Toyota history.
