Tire Fit Question

I'm building a teardrop trailer - just a tad larger than most of the mini ones, but still pretty tiny. I chose the axle pattern to match and decided to use a set of FJ Cruiser wheels I've been storing for a few years. I really want some limited 20" wheels with the black accent paint. Whenever I find a set cheap enough they're my ideal wheel for this. For now - the FJ Cruiser's will roll.

that wheel is significantly smaller... won't rub. Nice work on the trailer, looks cool.

The wheel is factory sized. The tire is significantly smaller. Your engine is going to scream at you at highway speeds. From what I can find that size is for small to mid size sedans. I mean that seems to be only a 27 or 28" tall tire. :wow:
ETA: If I'm reading that sidewall correctly those are 55's, not 60's. Even shorter.

Don't do it! The trailer wheel/tire combo will turn at a greater rate than the 4R combo. Resulting in a kind of, sort of like, pushing effect on the the 4R/towing vehicle. Although the pushing effect will likely increase your gas mileage, your drivetrain may not like it and the tire scrub will rapidly wear your 4R tires. Or something like that.
