Toyo Open Country AT2. These have been tried and true, rated high, very popular. Picking up a set today in 275/65/18 C load.

It's surprising most of Interco's line up is still made. So many useless tire designs contrasted with some of the best offroad tires made. Guess the good ones keep the bad ones in business just based on reputation. Outdated sizes don't help either.

I like my Firestone destination AT's. Not crazy aggressive. But still look pretty nice. They are good on and off road for what I do with them.

I would 2nd this. Firestone Destination A/T... They look decent, have a great price and the snow / ice / rain / dry traction is really great. If you aren't going off roading and rock climbing then please do not get an LT rated tire because they are going to be heavier than passenger (P) tires. And let's be honest- the 3rd gen is not very powerful to start with.
I am running c-rated Duratracs in 265/75R16 and they have been awesome in snow and off road. I like the look of them much more than the KO2 and you can't get the K02 in c-rated. If you have to have the more aggressive look I'd vote for the Duratrac, but the Destination A/T will be a slightly better street tire than the Duratrac. The only complaint I have about the Duratrac A/T is the sidewalls move around in cornering a decent amount--- ipso facto... handling gets "mushier".

In my opinion, they do make the best tire size ever for a 3rd gen 4Runner- 34x10.50-16. I love mine and they fit perfect with minimal trimming!

I think OP is in VA, so I'm not sure how that compares to our winters in Colorado, but here's my .02 on the Duratracs. I think they're a great tire for 3-seasons, but I don't think they're phenomenal in the snow. You definitely have to air them down in the winter to get decent performance, but I feel like my Geolander A-T/S's performed better in the snow (willing to be wrong and admit that it might be clouded memory).
They're a great tire though that will probably meet most of your needs. I just wanted to give the light disclaimer on my experience in the snow. Although maybe I'm just judging it unfairly because I have the option to drive my Blizzak WS80s on my Golf R in the snow too. Those are like friggin' glue.

I'd run whitewalls if they worked the best. Function over flash every time.

Are you running sway bars?
I just installed these today on my 02. 265/75/16 with no lift. Wheel wells are full but no rubbing yet :thumb3: They look pretty awesome

Rear on on that trail run. Front is always disconnected on the trail.
