4 new Michelin LTX AT-2, stock size, 265/65/R17. about $900 installed. replaced Michelin Cross Terrain that served me well for about 90k hwy miles. I thought they stopped making selling Cross Terrain but ran into a buddy who had them installed only a month or two ago.

the installer messed up the order and installed the outlined white lettering side facing inside - i always wanted that bad azz look! I could always go back but hate the wait. I am afraid what else they could mess up, you know.

Anyone here prefer the black side wall to OWL when available?

so, yeah, nothing special, $900 later, ready for winter.

White letters on the inside. Black outside. Maybe when Goodyear pays me to advertise for them, I'll reconsider.

RWL clean and out.

I run BFG ATs with the raised white letters out. They look great and I don't curb rash them. It shows I didn't skimp on getting great tires on my ride. My last set went 105,000 miles!

My sport came with white out and it looked good so I decided on my new tires to have white out and it looks good. Yeah the down part of it is that It's a free advertisement to the company but their tire is okay not as good as I thought it will be. I will try Michelin next time around.

To me it kind of depends on the color of the vehicle they're on. OWL look great on white vehicles and black, but just ok on other colors. The BFG's almost always have the OWL, and look good, but I've seen many other brands that have faded or lost a battle with the curb and look like shiz. I recently had new tires installed and chose to go with black wall out. My 4Runner is the same color as the OP and I think I made the right decision.

I had those tires on my Jeep GC and I loved them! When I wear out the piece-of-crap tires (Americus?) that came on my T4R, I will be going with those Michelins again.

Exactly...Last vehicle I owned where OWL looked good on was my 90 Pathfinder that was dark grey (Charcoal Pearl). It depends on the vehicle and the color (at least to me).

I think white letters look worse inside than out. I wanted the LTX A/t 2s, but didn't get them because they were only offered with OWL. I got the cross terrains. The line is discontinued, but they will still make them in OE sizes for a few more years.
