Tire life on ltd with 20 inch?

Hah? You have 67k on a set of tires and you suspect they don't last long? How long do you expect them to last?

When I bought my 2012 Ltd it came through w/Geolander G96B, 245/60 R20's. Well, I removed these "Horse & Buggy" wheels almost right away, due to their poor performance and replaced them. But when I put them up for sale, most all of the guys that called to buy them, explained that they still had the O.E. tires on their 4runners w/45 to 49k miles on them, and were down to almost no tread at all; I did actually see one guys tires when he came to buy mine and they really were due to be changed. That said... you did pretty well w/yours!

67K is pretty good on a set of tires. Was there anything bad about your experience with the LTX? They are expensive, but most agree that they are an awesome tire for their intended use.

Sorry folks, i realize my op was confusing, parly to typing on this ipad. Anyway, what i was trying to say is, im used to getting long wear life from my michelin tires, commonly 70 plus thousand miles but suspect the oem tires on the limited runners dont last very long and may be very expensive. Just wondering what ur experience is im not a fan od 20 inch tires either as they tend to produce. Harsher ride but the limited only comes w 20s
Im still looking and considering the 4 runner after driving the sr5 this past weekend but the ride was definately more harsh than my tahoe. I love the look and features of the ltd vs the sr5 but the price really jumps up at 47k for 4wd

I have the stock Yokohama Geolanders on my 2010 Limited. Im at 59K miles now, probably have about 30% tread life left. Ive been starting to shop around, not sure what tires to put on these 20X7 wheels...

no matter what vehicle i drive, i can usually get between 24-36k mileage and about 2-3 years before i have to replace tires.
the warden can usually get about 4-6 years out of oem, but then again she only does about 4-6k a year mileage wise.
right now she has 12k on her 2012 tacoma and the tires still have about 9/11ths tread on them.

I don't have a limited but I do have my OE tires on my SR5 with 41k and still have 6/32s (roughly 50%) tread left on them. Truck just turned 2 years old from when I bought it today.

A couple of years ago I was shopping around for a new 4Runner "Limited edition". I had never actually seen the 5th gen L.E., but remembered feeling somewhat disappointed immediately after purchasing my first "Toyota Certified" 4Runner; which just happened to be an sr5. I'm not saying that the sr5 is an inferior vehical. It's just that I had never heard of the L.E. until right after I got my sr5 (in '02), when my cousin 'Robin' shows up with her Toyota Certified, deep metallic emerald Green 4Runner limited; which she had (coincidentally), just gotten the night before. This thing was spectacular!
White leather interior w/wood grain paneled accents throughout the cabin. premium stereo system, truck-flared fenders w/color-matched running boards...etc. So I knew my next 4R would definitely need to be an LE. Anyway, I go to my local Toyota dealer to order my new truck (Blizzard Pearl Limited, special order). Then I noticed the low profile tires on the demo. I looked at the sr5s and they didn't have those tires on them, only the LE's. I almost decided to request that the wheels & tires be switched with the sr5; I had done this once before with my previous 4runner purchase.
It originally had 15" chrome rims on it from the factory, but looked funny to me so I refused to buy it from them, unless they replaced those wheels w/standard alloy 16's and brand new "Dunlap Touring" all seasons. Well, my point is that I almost judged those 20" rims before I bought the truck, but that would have been a HUGE ERROR on my part. Turns out that this machine not only rides very comfortably, but has tremendous "Road manners", and performs far better than any truck I've ever driven, particularly since I replaced the Yokohama 245/60's with GdYr Eagle LS-2, 275/55 R20's; they provide a relatively soft ride in town (never harsh), but very authoritative around curves and @ high speeds!
