It doesn't understand the differential of pressures. Like I said in my other post, I filled up my spare to 40 PSI and the light went off. The other 4 tires were at around the suggested pressure of 32psi. light should only come on if any one of the 5 are below 27 or 28 psi.

Sharp is correct. I pumped a tire to 44psi and left the others at 32. No alert. I lowered a tire to 29psi with the other still at 44. No alert. I lowered a tire 1/2 psi at a time and the alert lit at 26.5 psi. 2 tires reacted the say way. I raised it a1/2 psi until the alert went away and it stayed lit until 28.5 psi. So from that I would say the pick-up on the alert is Approx. 26.5psi and the dropout is Approx. 28.5psi . I assume the senors sit fat/dump and happy until the pressure drops to the set pickup point. Then they send a signal to indicate the alarm condition.

This by no means a controlled test. The accuracy of the tire gauge could be off. It was a digital gauge, not a spring-loaded one. More or less for Shits & giggles.
