Tire opinions?

I'm considering the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 275/70/17, BFG TA KO 265/70/17 , Cooper Discoverer ST 275/70/17, or the Destination A/T 275/70/17. I've got an 06 Sport V6 2wd that I'm setting up as a psuedo Pre-Runner. I've got a 3in lift and need bigger tires. I do light off roading to get to the hiking trails we use. Does anyone have any experience with the tires I listed above? thanks to all who've been so helpful so far on this forum!

ive had the bfgs on other vec.s in the past, & have the GYSA on my 4runner stock rims. both are great tires, but how good they would be for you depends on what you drive in mostly, & off course how they look to you. from my experience, the bfgs are better off road, but might not last as long for highway miles. the GYSA are good off road, but are much better for highway mileage, very quiet & perform better on the street in most weather conditions, handle very well, but dont look as aggressive. the destination at i had years ago & didnt like, wore out very fast with poor handling, but the new model is suppose to be decent. i have no idea about the coopers, but id say , that if aggressive looks arent on the top of your list, & street/highway handling is, the GYSA would be the way to go, i know guys who have gotten 60k out of them. go to tire rack & check out the reviews & ratings. good luck

Thanks, That's very helpful. My friend who owns a shop suggests the BFGs in 275/65/17. I didn't realize they made a 275. I guess they just don't advertise them. Anyway, it looks like it's gonna be the BFGs for now.

Yeah, the Cooper Discoverer ST is a great looking tire but there doesn't seem to be much written about them.

BFGs are overkill for what you apparently need them for especially with their so-so on road manners but they kick butt off road.

I have 265/70R17 BFG All-Terrain K/O on mine so I guess you could call me bias but I absolutely love these tires. They are quiet and smooth on road, they look very aggressive and all my friends say they make my truck look more bad-a*s*s.
Also off-road they perform well. I too have a V6 2WD and i was able to go through a small mud pit that one of my friends got his 4WD F150 stuck in.
