Tire pressure for cross country trip

Hi,

Fiancee and I are moving cross country from Chicago to Phoenix. :driving: Our 99 4Runner will be full. Some of the heavy items include two televisions, books, and home theater speakers.

What tire pressure should I use for this extra weight? The tire size is 265/70/16.

use tire chalk, when the vehicle is under load, run it across the tire and inflate so the you get even wear across the chalk, that is the only correct way to check, every vehicle can be diffrent with the type of tires that are on the vehicle.

If the tires are P265/70/16 look at the door sticker and use at least that much. It probably says 32psi. Might want to go 35.

If the tires happen to be LT265/70/16, go about 45psi.
