Tire Pressure Help; Nitto Terra Gapplers, 265/75R 16

[UTEP]

Hi,

I have a set of Nitto Terra Gapplers, 265/75R 16.

The sidewall says 65psi!
Manual say 32psi....

Didn't find any 4runner threads but some elsewhere suggested 45psi

I always defaulted to 35 psi and am confused by finding such various numbers.

Any clues?

I run the exact tires at 35-40psi on the road and about 20 off road. I have put about 30,000 miles on them and there isn't any strange wear.

I agree with doubledew. Usually it call for 35 psi in the front and 40 PSI in the rear.

I run 40 so your in the right ballpark. It's personal preference between 35-40. Te number on the sidewall is usually max psi. So don't run over 65 psi. It would ride like garbage anyways.

I run my Nitto Terra Grapplers (great tires btw) at 32psi but I'm also running stock size 265 70 16

I just pumped up to 40 psi to see if I can get back the mpg the winter blends have taken from me

BTW I used my new Viair P88 and it went from 32 to 42 psi in 1 minute! Love that compressor!
