Tire Pressure Light?

So Im away and my wifes tire pressure warning light is coming on - Walmart couldnt fix it...

I told her to check spare so we will see.

But how can I remove this light FOREVER. I hate the tire pressure lights.

Are we too lazy to just get out and check our tires periodically, we need yet another dash warning light and sensor to go bad? $

Other than attempting to remove the light bulb in the dash, is there something I can do/remove to make this system shut off completely?

Actually the TPL saved me once so I dont think I'll ever disable it. Here is what happened. Mind you we just left gas station not to far from my house. So I just did the whole "check list" I usually do before a long road trip. We were on our way to Las Vegas from Los Angeles and all of a sudden the light pops on. . I got off the freeway and pulled into a gas station to do a check. What did I find? Something put a big gash about 4in wide on the sidewall of my tires. I was lucky that I pulled over as soon as a saw the light or something else could have been damaged or worse, injuries to my passengers and other motorist. I dont remeber hitting or running anything over that would cut the tires like that. So yeah, its not about being lazy cause I check my tire pressure periodically anyways. Its about safety for you and others.

There's a thread here on how to disable it. I shut mine off cause I'm running different rims and I don't want to pay to have the tpms switched over. I feel they are senseless. Plus, I offroad too much and that blinking drove me half insane!

I too see the value in having my TPMS system functioning, but it may be worth noting I do not air down my tires at all, as I am not a serious "off roader" alike some of the crowd here. I do see how that would change perspectives.

Pull out your manual and read up on the spare, drop it down, throw a little air in it, and the light should go off. The colder air this time of the year is what causes PSI to drop.. Just fill em up with a shade more air and you should be good to go.

It's Canada so the temp. dropped in recent weeks and not too surprisingly, the TPMS light came on. Checked all four tires and two of them were at 29-ish psi plus I dropped the spare which was 29-ish psi as well. So I filled all five tires to 32 psi in the cold weather yet the light stayed on for three days (last week). I left it, light being on, thinking I'd have to take a trip to the dealer but two days ago, it went out. Leaves me to think the TPMS is like a parole board whereby it needs to see sincere commitment to tire pressure for a set period of good behaviour (good tire pressure) for the light to go out.
