Tire pressure sensor battery??

My OEM sensors from my 2004 lasted until now. I think 4 of the 5 are still working! 15 years.

I've seen some youtube videos of folks replacing the batteries, some soldering but it would be totally worth it to not have to replace the whole thing and then pay to get it paired to the vehicle.

I'd love to just remove one of the sensors from being paired, and only keep 4 on my tires that are on the ground and leave the spare without one.

You still have to break down the tire to get to the TPMS sensor.
I get my Denso sensors from Amazon for ~$40 ea.
Takes about 5 mins to upload the sensor IDs to the ECU.
Wait for your next balance and rotation to install a new set of sensors...?

Craftsman Autocare (aka Matt Curry) should be able to help you. They have Dill sensors in stock, I have no issues with the Dill set of TPMS sensors I have on my T4R. I use the Craftsman Autocare in Fairfax, by Costco.

The 2008 I bought had the TPMS light on. We bought the Denso sensors off Amazon for around $50 each. Discount Tire installed them but had no clue how to relearn the system. Stealership wanted $140 to do it. I went to a small local tire shop and they did it for $20.

I just asked Tire Discounters about TPMS. $60 per sensor installed and they will link them up. A bit steep bit but I'd prefer to keep the built-in functionality of the truck

Ouch!! 5 years and I have to replace 5 stems at $100+ each and have the stealer reprogram? Sounds like very expensive maintenance to me. Probably looking at $700 just to replace the stems!

A reliable tire store will do it for much less than the dealer. Our local Big O (NTB and Tire Kingdom under the same umbrella) has sensors for $62, and make sure they're tuned to the vehicle at no charge.

When I bought a set of four new tires at America’s Tire they installed new sensors at no charge. I tried the tires for a month, didn’t like them, brought them back (under their 30 day trial period), got a set of a different brand of tires (for a little more $). And they installed new sensors again, no charge.
