2 part question. i KNOW its been discussed in other threads ALL over but they have confused the hell out of me and i think i started looking for tire sizes that didn't exist, so if some one can just answer this i would really appreciate it

1) what is the biggest aggressive size tire (bfg type) i can run on stock height 3rd ten when i have 17" rims on the truck. (with NO rub at all)
2) if i put 1.5" wheel spacers on there how much of a tire size difference are we looking (with no rub at all)

2. None.

All it's gonna do is push the tire out further. So rather than rub on the edge of the tire, you'll rub in the center. Against the pinch welds that is and fender. Probably not against the frame.

I'm running 265/70/17 Cooper Discovere AT3's on taco wheels. They cleared ok but I needed a 1/4" spacer to give me a little breathing room by the UCA.

I'm running 265/75-16 (same size as 265/70-17) No rubbing with full compression.

Then I added 1.25" wheel spacers. Mild rubbing. A little heat gun to the inner fender liner is about it.

Adding wheel spacers push the wheel/tires outward. The front wheels have a larger arc and this is what causes rubbing.
